During the period of TowerBrook Fund II’s investment, Choo Management Limited was a women’s luxury shoe business. The company was launched in 1996 by Tamara Mellon and Jimmy Choo. Under TowerBrook’s ownership, Jimmy Choo became a globally recognised luxury brand, with numerous product categories and 120 stores around the world at the time of exit. Its product range was extended to include bags, small leather goods, scarves and trainers. TowerBrook exited its investment in 2011 via the sale of Jimmy Choo to Labelux Group GmbH, a privately-held Austrian luxury conglomerate.
