During the period of TowerBrook Fund I’s investment, Spheris, Inc. was a combination of the second and third largest medical transcription companies in the US, delivering technology and services to more than 450 health systems, hospitals and group practices throughout the US and Canada. Spheris employed over 4,900 medical transcriptionists who supported clients through secure networks, using a web-based system with integrated voice, text and data. Customer care was prioritised, with the emphasis on quality, turnaround time and verifiable pricing.
