Studio Movie Grill
During the time of TowerBrook’s TSO I investment, Studio Movie Grill (“SMG”) was the second largest pure play dine-in theatre chain in the US, operating over 30 cinemas across the country. The company was founded in 1993 and modernised the traditional movie-going experience by combining first-run movies with immersive, full-service, in-theatre dining. SMG’s corporate mission was to “open hearts and minds, one story at a time”, and the company committed significant resources to give back to the communities in which it operated.
